I have tried repeatedly to register on my phone with MG iSmart, my dealer told me my phone (Huawei P20) was the problem and I should change it because other customers have experienced the same problem with this make of phone. Is this dealer right, because I now have a new Samsung phone and I still can't register with this app. The app. is on my phone but of no use. My car is less than 2 months old, ZS EV long range with sunroof.
 
Have you tried to register to iSMART using your email address? I don’t think you need to do both - one or the other is fine.

Hi David. I'm not sure what stage of the install you are getting to but I had to get a QR scanner app on my phone.
I followed a YouTube video for install instructions.
 
Oddly mine went through first time only using my phone number !.
Which appears to be pretty rare !.
It still does not have my E.mail address added and works fine.
It looks like either one will do the job.
