I've had my 73 plate ZS Long Range just two years. Previously charging without a problem at home (Octopus/Zappi) and occasionally at fast chargers (service stations and local BP station). In December charging started playing up. Home charger was inconsistent and Fast charging (using DC) was a complete NO! Resolved the home charging issue by disconnecting 12V battery and reconnecting. Still won't charge at any fast charging points. I've tried 5 different chargers in three different towns. Even had charger "help" people on the phone trying to bypass the charger and force a connection. Every time the apps (BP) or charger screens (Sainsburys, Tesco and Ospray) says "Connection error" or "Can't Communicate", suggesting it's a problem with the car communicating with the charger.
Car's in for a service with MG today and I've told them about it. They've said (at drop off), we can't fix that as we can't check the chargers. Told them it's not the chargers, it's clearly the car.
Anyone had anything similar or managed to fix it - so I can tell the garage. I'm a driving instructor and REALLY need to be about to fast charge the car if the need arrises.
Many thanks.

So far only a problem with Tesla charger. Dealership said it should work but it wouldn't. They say they have now fixed it but I haven't tested it as nearest open to public Tesla charger is 25 miles away.

Hi and welcome to the forum.
Do you know if your dealer has a Rapid DC CCS charger on site?
They normally have type2 AC fast EVSE (charge points) but not all have DC. If not then you need to find a dealer who has.

When I dropped it off they said they wouldnt' be able to replicate it (so presumably they don't have DC), however there is a Tesco about 200m away which very likely does have. I showed them photo's of 2 fast charger screens saying communication error.
I find them generally really unhelpful at this particular dealer, but it's my local one and the one I bought it from, so kind of have to go there.
