MG3 Hybrid fuel cap is very difficult to open

talking about the fuel cap, is there a place to put it while refueling? or should it just dangle by its cord?

Theres like a little hook inside flap..i just hang it on there..not sure if thats what its for though?

Wow! You're lucky, no such thing in the ZS hybrid, just have to let it dangle on the connected tag

Thanks for the tip. Ive just used 3in1 PTFE spray (wax oil) and it works perfectly as you said

I did mine 2mths/5000miles ago and I have done many refuels and it is still unwinding freely. It sounds like your issue is more serious.

Well the dealer was unable to sort it. What did you actually do, put oil on the seal? I have already tried that, thought it worked but it didn't. I have just tried tightening it without it clicking to see if that works, but it'll be a whikle before I will find out as not going very far at the moment due to prices and shortages
