MG3 Hybrid Service Manual

Oi, MG3 Hybrid service manual floating around is missing the Engine control system (pages 204-250 are void of diagrams/picture/text). Could anyone post the complete manual or the missing part thereof ? Thanks

As an alternative backup location, I have copied the manual to my website:

Let me know (and point me to) anything else useful that I can put there. :)

Hi Richard, Don't think so, mine has been switched on auto hold since the day I collected it. This is bout six weeks now and I haven't come across any circumstances where I have needed to switch it off yet. Although I'm sure someone on this Forum will come up with a valid reason why you should!!!!
When you want to creep forward, e.g. in your garage, from a stop. With auto hold on you need a little more accelerator which, given you've got limited space in the garage, you don't necessarily want. Turn the auto hold off with the console switch and then you have better control of initial move off.

Have today found out my first service at my MG main dealer will take 1/2 hour at £156/hour and cost £173.08. Checking MG's 'Maintenance Checksheet' I see all that will be replaced at the first annual service (15K mls) are the engine oil (4 litres) & filter. (No other filters) I will have only done about 5k mls. Apparently this is their low mileage charge for this service. What is going on?

Checking online I see Castrol can do 4 litres of engine oil for MG ZS SUV Castrol EDGE 0W-20 V Engine Oil 4L @ £47.99 free delivery. Apparently Castrol EDGE 0W-20 V is suitable for gasoline and diesel vehicles with ACEA C5 0W-20 recommendations.
Also noticed the Valvoline equivalent for 5 litres was just £39.96
So the oil isn't out of this world at all. To me it looks like some sharp practice going on.
Any thoughts on this?

Just been quoted £235 for first service, utter highway robbery and was told if you get it elsewhere and they are not mg approved I will lose my 7year warranty, they are taking our eye balls out

If anyone can recommend dealers that don't rob you blind please add them to this topic. I live in the Midlands area.

Bit too far for you Bober .Just booked my MG3 Hybrid at Glyn Hopkins of Watford for its first service.£135.She told me the price has been reduced
Thanks for letting me know gona be London next month gona book it there.Whats the reduction for ? Is it cheaper atm ? To be honest for 135 it's worth going even with full tank price still cheaper than here.

Cordialement.

I had a look at taking out a service plan for an MG3 through the MG website. Services are required every 15000 miles or 12 months, whichever comes first. The costs for each yearly service varies and the prices are shown. The cost of year 4 service is £940. I don't know what they do to the car to justify that price but it won't bother me as the price of these cars is so low I will just trade it in for another one. That also depends on trade-in values not dropping through the floor.

Hey all, I've just ordered my new MG3 hev MY24.5 finally, my first post here! So glad there's such a nice international forum like this, kudos!!

So, I've read about extreme service costs but I couldn't confirm by asking the official MG service garages here in (Athens) Greece. The most common answer I get by asking estimates for service costs are that "it's mostly oil/filters/sparkplugs, so not that expensive" more specifically, the quotes I get are around 150-250euros per service, which isn't align with what read on the internet.

Could anyone confirm if the service costs are around 1k euros (£940) for real? And if so, does that involve the timing chain? Thanks a lot in advance folks :)

PS. Since this legend called @siteguru uploaded all manuals on his website, I would suggest to the original poster @felipebay to also include them in the first post since the second link is not working.
