MG3 unlocking itself when parked during the night

At first I thought it must be me having forgotten to lock the car, as multiple times now I found the car unlocked in the morning. So I pay attention now locking it, and when walking away checking if it stays unlocked. At home the key is kept in a special box with metal lining. Then I check the app to confirm the locked status now as routine.
But somehow it unlocks itself, sometimes after just an hour, sometimes during the night.
This is bad as anyone can enter the car.
Anyone here seen this happening?

That's quite worrying @aankopen, do you keep the spare key in the same special box, or could it be somewhere where it can accidentally be used?

Both keys are kept in a isolated box (cage of faraday). I now regulary check the app. Today I had it happen again, locked, checked, checked app at home, both keys in box and two hours later my wife comes home and says the car was unlocked So checked the app and yes it showed unlocked. So I locked it from the app and went outside to check it was locked. I wonder what I will find tomorrow morning.

Try it for a few days without checking the app (ideally disable it), if the keys are secure maybe the app is somehow interfering / sending a rogue signal.

No, I started using the app áfter I had this a few times, never touched the app before…

I have seen a message on my phone (android) saying that MG app is running in the background, so maybe app is always active?

I'd be going back to the dealers myself about this.
Sounds more like a fault in the central locking system.
Pretty worrying though.
