Mg5 entertainment battery drains

Hi all.

I've a 2 year old MG5 long-range EV from new, and since the last year the car doesn't last a week and is fully discharged if I don't drive it... If I do it's short journeys and reduces till I force a longer trip and won't recharge past 75% ... It normally goes to 50% after approx 2 hrs drive..

Just had it on a 4A battery charger for 8hrs and it's actually got less in the battery than when I started it.... How's this possible ..

I'd assume new battery but AA came round and tested it and said it's fine for now....

Do you mean the 12V battery? If you turn the car on fully (green light) what does the voltage start at and does it go up to 14+ volts as the car comes on?
Try fully charging it disconnected from the car and see if it holds a charge.

Hovers 12.8 and stays constant.. the odd peak but never below.

It should be near 14v when you are driving it. Try discounting the 12v battery for 10 minutes.

Yeah, disconnect the 12v from the car and charge it as I said earlier, if it behaves then the problem is in the car and not the battery.
