I just tested this over the week. I was kinda used to the doors not being opened from the inside when its locked - only when the driver unlocks the car. This was useful when the kids were like 3 or 4 and didnt prefer the child lock. Or when u didnt want an Uber passenger to run off without paying.
With the new mechanics, its just a matter of getting used to it, and reteaching the kids (who are 8 now) to be wary of the difference. And utilise the child locks for added safety and peace of mind.
