Hi All,
I am soon to take ownership of a new MGS5, comming from a MK2 ZS Long Range.
I currently have a SigenStor solar setup with 8kWh battery storage on the house.
I was looking at the battery & inverter system and found that the manufacturer also does a module that can be attached to the existing modular system to allow Bi-directional charging but it is in DC.
My question is, does the MGS5 V2L system only work on the V2L with an AC cable or would it still allow discharge with a DC plug as well?
The Module that I could get comes with a 7.5m DC cable (in the shape of a CCD DC Connection that plugs into the CCS CD Connection on the Car), it allows up to 25kW DC charging to the car, but I'm more interested in discharging the car back to the battery pack and powering the house. If the plug is DC but the Car only allows for AC V2L would it still allow discharge through the DC cable but only use the Type2 or AC section of the DC plug?? My gut says No but maybe I'm wrong.
Would anybody have any experience of this?
Many Thanks in advance.
