Mirror auto fold

The weather here has been very wet and below 0 for the past few days.

Today I went to use my car and the passenger side mirror didn’t unfold. As I locked and unlocked the car a couple of times, I could hear the motor in the mirror straining against the ice.

I managed to get it moving with a bit of warm water, and I have turned off mirror auto fold until the weather improves.

When it's not freezing use some silicone spray on all the rubber seals of the car and where the moving part of the door mirrors meet their housing before wiping off the over spray. Don't forget the charging flap and catch.

Gummi Phflege from AMazon is the stuff for rubber seals. Used to use it on our MX5 windows & door seals.
