Mirror sound

Hello everyone,

I'm almost at the end of the process of purchasing an MGS5. I was recently at the dealership and tested two Trophy version cars, which have folding mirrors that close automatically. I noticed a strange noise – an audible click on the driver's side when the mirror opens. In summary, when the mirror opens, it makes a fairly loud clicking sound. Both cars tested made the same noise.

Is this normal on your cars?

The MG mirrors definitely aren't the smoothest at folding, mine (MG4) made a sort of plastic scratching sound, rather than clicking. I sprayed some silicone spray in the gap, mainly on the rubber seal, and it's a lot smoother now.

Mine are electric motor noise only. However on my MG5 it started clicking and I did the same as MG Clive, sprayed with silicone.
