Mobile phone falling onto floor

My mobile kept falling off the ledge above the usb ports when I went around corners. The simplest and cheapest upgrade to fix this is a piece of elastic tape, thread through the holes for cables at either end of the ledge, and tied underneath to make a loop. The phone is put under the elastic band and connected to CarPlay by a cable.

I found it depends a lot on what you use to clean the mat. Some products leave it very slippery.

I bought this mat from Amazon far better grip, holds my phone around sharp corners.

It does require cutting down on one side to make it fit better. Just use the original mat as a template to cut it down.
