Does anyone know if the new MG HS Hybrid+ comes with a owners manual .. salesman told me it was all online or to look on youtube , maybe im old fashioned but id like to have a read through the manual to explain how to do things.

Don't know for definite. But very much doubt it. I must be old fashioned too, I would have liked an actual proper manual. Think those days, are gone.

Only the one on line version and its the PHEV version.... must be very similar the hybrid + and the PHEV

Just in case you haven’t spotted but my app manual updated a couple of weeks ago so now includes hybrid not just PHEV - can tell as has specific page on dash/screen and engine bay. Still not very comprehensive generally but better than nothing!

Hi - I found the owner manual on the App, but is there a guide to the Infotainment system anywhere do you know please??? The owner manual hardly mentions it (and who on earth designed an online-only manual with a contents but no alphabetical index ???)

The manuals are poor and not anywhere as detailed as car manuals usually are. There is however a separate manual for ‘navi’ which is the infotainment system- at least there is in my app ……attached couple of screenshots below (hopefully) from the app:

Thanks, that's intriguing - because I only see the user manual in my App. But I haven't tried "Bind my vehicle" yet, so maybe I need to do that first. I'll try in daylight.

Pretty sure you need to (bind vehicle) I have - then it shows the specific manuals………basic that they are!

Try looking on ebay, they have some MG manuals. Good luck.

If you want a manual, or anything else printing, have a look at doxzoo.com. Just ordered a manual for a car we are looking at, only £30 for 2 in paperback.

Also like a good physical book to look at, scribble in

I've tried several times to bind, to get the manual on my phone, but I can't locate the necessary link in the car infotainment system and without the manual I'm struggling (a bit circular!) Does anyone know why my brand new HS Hybrid+ wouldn't have the necessary link, or where I should look to find it?

Did ours back in September so forgotten exactly how think it was:

1: Set up app with log in details
2. Find ‘bind vehicle’ in app recall it asks for QR code in car??
3. In car head unit settings (swipe right to left??) there was one in general or car??

Sorry can’t remember exactly but like everything with this MG dig around a bit as finding anything is a search process….manuals and info worse than any manufacturer we have owned when it comes to detail.

Hope you find it…if not contact dealer …you’ve bought a car from them …least they can do is set up if you struggle

Just an update to this. Ordered 2 copies of the owners manual of a PHEV that we are thinking of getting. Easy ordering, uploaded the PDF of 323 pages, selected the version we wanted, paperback book, paid £25 including DPD postage. The quality of the printing and binding is first class. Would recommend if anyone wants a printed manual.
Now, as it's Christmas, a virtual mince pie and brandy to the first one to say what car. And, it's not a MG, but we were tempted to get the HS PHEV, so a hint in the size we are looking at.
