You get the option of chips with your breakfast at McDonalds?
You get the option of something to go with the chips, a hash brown maybe for breakfast, the muffin bacon and egg is you are really adventurous ..... but always the flat white coffee, fuel many a long drive before we were set up to make our own in the motorhome ..... but the stop at Maccas was a chance to stretch the legs and visit the loo while the coffee and chips were being made :D

Ironically, lactose is milk sugar, so by taking it out, you'd think the milk would be sugar free, but there's around 2.5g of sugar per 100ml of lactose free milk.

My original trade before being an electrician was food technology, but lactose free milk was not around then.

Edit.
Oops, sorry, Mod!

They don't take it out, they add the enzyme to convert it to lactate?

Nah, on a par in my books ..... yet again I'm back to the age old question, why?

A pure and simple. Arty Farty Fad, as with
a lot of things these days.
I mean c'mon have you seen how many different Coffees, you can get these days,
what's all that about? 🙄
I can understand Lactose free milk, coz your Lactose intolerant, fair enough.
But all the other fancy flavour Milks. Nah.
🙄🙂👍🤪

That reminds one. One’s Burgundy bin went out today. One must nip out and retrieve it
Now that's going too far, a special bin for Burgundy ..... I'm guessing the empties .... the liquid you pour down the drain .... after filtering it through the kidneys of course ;)

Nope, i have a black box for glass empties. I’ve not bothered to put the box out for a few weeks. Currently the only thing in it is a Vegemite jar so I’ll give it a few weeks and see if it’s worth carrying out to the roadside 🤩

Isn't that classified as industrial waste? 🤣
How dare you, Marmite lover  Actually, if you have a problem with snails or slugs (not the MG3 hybrid type) a bit of vegemite on a leaf or rock near the plants you need to protect, and the slimey things will head for it, eat themselves sick and die with a smile on their face

They tell me stale beer has a similar effect, but I've never had any left to try that one out

It's the yeast the slimy things like so a bit of dried yeast mixed with water in a container buried up to its lip in the ground will do the same thing without wasting beer or Marmite.

If it was Marmite, it wouldn't be wasted then eh

Well, can I just say, I love them both?

The only mystery about Vegemite was decoding it from the lyrics of Men At Work's song!

"What are they singing?"...

No internet to look it up in 1983!

Yeah, Terry, I know it was released in Oz in 1981, but it didn't chart in the UK till January 83...
