There are another couple of products which divide peoples opinions, Lea and Perrins' Worcestershire Sauce and Henderson's Relish.

For me despite only being a few miles south of Sheffield it's Worcestershire Sauce every time.

Just found these on the Waitrose website. I tried the "alternative" relish many years ago and there are suspicions that the recipe has been cheapened. But even putting aside the ingredients, I would choose L&P's every time.

I've never bought any Duchy products, not because I oppose them, but because they are too damn expensive!

But the last comment makes me snigger!

Well, can I just say, I love them both?

The only mystery about Vegemite was decoding it from the lyrics of Men At Work's song!

"What are they singing?"...

No internet to look it up in 1983!

Yeah, Terry, I know it was released in Oz in 1981, but it didn't chart in the UK till January 83...

When I bought my 2002 Octavia estate, the sticker on the boot floor said Combi.

Interesting fact, the 1960 Octavia estate had a bigger boot than the current model!
690 litres vs 640.

And you could fold the 1960s car's seats down into a bed, a bit like you could in a Maxi, although I reckon it would be a bit less lumpy-bumpy in the Octavia!
