Still prefer the current MG4 looks wise.
But slightly, just slightly warming to this new model. Like the interior. Like the rear light bar and illuminated MG badge and hopefully the software is better. If they do make an X Power version, I could be very interested.

The press releases are playing to the mantra of journalism, "never let the truth get in the way of a good story"

Yes 5 seconds of Googling shows that it’s front wheel drive in the press:

All the model numbers are confusing if this is going to be the Chinese MG4 and not the rest of the world. If nothing else it makes Googling more difficult.

If it isn't going to be the MG4 replacement perhaps it could or should be MG3 or something.

However I like the styling, I like that it is FWD and I like the chargeport location. If this was available in the UK I would definitely consider it.

There is but it is an aging hybrid, I did hear a rumour they were considering replacing it with an EV only model. That said I don't think they should since dimension wise this car is if anything slightly bigger than the current MG4. But if the car is changed a bit for the UK market I think it will do well.

The MG3 Hybrid+ was only released in the UK last year. So how is that in any way "aging"? And the MG3 is bigger than the MG4?

There was a previous MG3 model which was Petrol, certainly not Hybrid. Is that what you were referring to?
