Hi - I already have 3 phase power in my carport, but according to the dealer I bought the car from the bottom pins in the car itself are absent so no point in charging from 3 phase power. Is this true? Is there any benefit charging from 3 phase if this is the case? thanks!

Your PHEV is most likely equipped with single phase, 7kW (32A) onboard charger.

If you want to future proof your wall box go for a 3phase model (22kW), however for now, a cheaper single phase EVSE (7kW) will do just fine.

Note: some 3phase installations are not rated 32A per phase, in that case you won’t be able to charge your car at max power, but your installer should be able to advise you on that.
