Do MG always tweak and release an updated model so quickly after introducing a new one?

MG did this with the MG5.
They released it, then after only a few months, included lots of options for the same price !.
This infuriated the early customers ( as you would expect ).
Interesting to see if MG increases the price on the S5 X upgrade, because a full sky roof would be an expensive option if you could spec one ?.
VAG have played this game for years, but at a much slower rate.
Release a new model, equip it with the minimum level of features, then after about 12 months, start drip feeding extra equipment/ features for a similar price.
They do this for a couple of years, then facelift it with new lights etc.
After 5 years, new model and rinse and repeat .
The sky roof is a nice feature, had it on both of our previous ZS EV’s, it brings a lot of light into the cabin, which gives you a feeling of more space.
When we sold our previous ZS EV it had the sky roof, on the later models, it was deleted by MG.
I told the dealer that the sky roof would sell the car for that very reason.
It sold in under 12 hours.
Every enquiry they had, they all asked if the car had the sky roof fitted ?.
Enough said on that subject.

The sunroof is already standard in that market and the other changes are underwhelming.

Don't think I like the idea of lights indicators and wipers all on one stalk.

I do like the new centre console though.

/edit also I think this will be Thailand/Asia only because it's made there, just the one 50kwh battery option?

Minor changes really. Nothing to get excited about.

Everyone seems to be making the screens bigger and bigger. Not quite sure why, since there's a limited amount you ever what to display at once.

A whole bunch of the things shown may well be specific to the Thai or other asian markets, so may never come here.

The sunroof is an available option in Singapore and Australia. I also resonate with your sunroof comments - it does bring a lot of light in and thus space. Dealer fitted a dark solar film though I loved the light so much during the test drive that i changed the film darkness to a lighter one.

Yeah - They have retained the physical push buttons, which is nice to see, but they are lower and in the consul now ?.
Not directly in your line of sight now, you have to look down to find them.
Not the end of the world I know, but improvements are not always for the best as we know.
I think MG design are sneaking them lower and lower, heading towards the exit, so I fully expect them to be deleted altogether on the next revision .
It’s been pretty obvious to me at least, that MG design have clearly borrowed ( for the want of a best word ) ideas / features from other brands including the Tesla models.

As said, nowt much new. Bigger screen, but the original is plenty big enough. Like the Sunroof, if it does come here. Don't like everything on the same stalk.
