News on delivery of first Batch of IM5

🤬 From the leasing company / dealer : DVLA registrations are currently down, the team are working with the DVLA to get back up and running, when I hear anything, I will let you know. We are therefore unable at present able to deliver the vehicle, as soon as the error is cleared, we will rebook, currently looking at Wednesday.
The wonder of computer systems

I got the email to tell me about delivery on the 12th. Why would they not register it then instead of waiting for the last second.

Plus I've arranged insurance to start today, as per their email!

Spoke to a sales rep at the dealership yesterday and he says that it’s a combination of continuous on off presses of the brake pedal at the same time as working the indicator arm up and down continuously. Sounds strange to me though, I’ve never heard of this before.
Just been told that won’t work on certain Meg’s. Another salesman told me it’s done by moving the left scroll button on the steering wheel LLRRRLL for the im5 🤷‍♂️

Car has arrived! Pictures soon.

One question, how do I bind the car with the app?

All im getting is the time zone setting error. I have checked and the car and phone are correct.

Edit. After a long drive decided to try again. Went into the user app and it decided to show me a new qr code…that finally worked. 🙂

Crikey I got lucky then, ordered my two IM5s on the Sunday and they were delivered to us to collect on the Friday - that was in December - love 'em too!!
What, one to drive while the other is charging? What colours did you get?

And what are your impressions of the cars?
I would have said "broom broom" but they're electric so more of a "hummm" ;-)
Overall, I am pleased with my purchase, however I drove my long range IM5 from Portsmouth to Preston last Saturday and had to make 4 recharge stops (!!) - but because of the speed of charge at three of them (40KwH) and the need to actually get to Preston for kick-off, I didn't fully recharge (as it stated it would take 1 hour 20 mins to do so. I had one top upon on the way, but three on the way back, due to road closures and diversions, also it was dark and raining and I had a car full. I had the car in ECO mode on the way back. I had the opportunity to repeat this type of journey, but to Blackburn, however I have decided that such long journeys in the winter isn't worth the hassle, especially on a time limit.
There are software issues - such a voice commands that won't work (try making a call to a contact). The Americanisation of the Navi app means that I use my "HERE we go" app via car play / Android Auto.
My wife told me that when she answers the phone on her IM5, the navi app stops all together.

But the actual driving is fantastic!!! I wasn't tired after the drive and it is a driver's car. The passengers all enjoyed their journey (even though we stopped a lot). It also made me realise that the motorway services need a minimum of 120KhH chargers - can't wait to try a 400KwH one!!! Also Zapmap was a life saver when we got to Basingstoke at midnight!

Correction, black metallic paint
