God all this talk about boats coming over reminds me of waiting for my Model 3. People tracking boats, guestimating batches loaded per colour, spec etc...
Then potential owners scanning for VINs that were hidden in their order email..

I have read the news.
What a bunch of idiots if I may say...
The council there claims that this is targeted for extra polluting vehicles which can be a danger for road users.
The only cars that spring into mind are Land Rovers....with their bonnets being so high and the fact that they consume like a gallon per mile..

This is a pure money grab. Nothing more; nothing less.

As for me I don't really mind. I wouldn't dream of going downtown to Liverpool with a car this big. Wife's Atto3 will do the trick

Not just pollution but space, pavement parking and weight causing damage

Car is on it's way; delivery at the dealership expected first week of December.
Should be picking it up the second; fingers crossed!

Stealing the idea from the IM5 thread I thought about creating this one where we can track orders and delivery dates for the IM6 coming to the country.
I will start with myself.
Order placed on Saturday the 27th of September; IM6 Launch white on white. Was told delivery up to 16 weeks.

I ordered 7th October (NHS Fleet Solutions) through salary sacrifice and estimated delivery is apparently March

I am changing from my Model 3 to the IM6... Wife has a generation 1 ZS EV.

Also can't be dealing with the depreciation of the Model 3 and the constant price cuts... Each time I drive it it feels like a reminder of a bad financial decision lol.

Loved the IM6 on test drive though and did feel more premium than my Model 3...

Yes that's a good point!

Mine is just the Long Range in black.

Weirdly the Long Range IM6 was cheaper per month than the Long Range IM5... Seemed a no brainer!

Mine is Nevis Blue and white interior.

Maybe. Or it could be specific number of colour combos etc and they match based on order dates?
Who knows.
No VIN yet; I will poke them again during next month so I can start checking for insurance again.

I'm watching this and the IM5 boards now with great interest. My MG4 sal sac lease is up in 6 months. It's via Octopus EV. They aren't listing the IM cars yet.

Oh God tell me about it.
I reckon the biggest financial mistake I ever made was buying the Model 3. Although to be fair due to my then circumstances and the high mileage I was doing no lease or PCP deal would make sense.
In 6 years I have clocked 90k miles...
It did save me though loads on tax, fuel (having solar, batteries and cheap overnight tariff) so overall the sting was not that bad.
One thing for sure though; if I ever have to do really high mileage a used car would be the preferable option. Especially now that there is abundance of used EVs.

To be fair they may know the VIN. It didn't occur me to ask....
I will ask maybe week after next. I don't want to sound too desperate
