Nice one @MarkTR, welcome to the forum.I've ordered the IM6 Performance (Rembrandt grey, white) through workplace salsac scheme (Ayvens), today received a delivery date of 19 Feb. Lead time sounds about par for EV salsac orders.

Do you mind if I ask what monthly rates they are charging on your scheme? I'm still waiting for Octopus EV to publish any of the IM car pricing.I've ordered the IM6 Performance (Rembrandt grey, white) through workplace salsac scheme (Ayvens), today received a delivery date of 19 Feb. £716 a month, which includes a home charger and installation, insurance, tax, servicing, tyres etc. No idea if that's competitive but it worked out cheaper than what I pay now for my current car so I was happy enough.Do you mind if I ask what monthly rates they are charging on your scheme? If you get any MG and it works fine then it should be ok, if you need to go to a service centre then it's a complete lottery and your like for MG can change very quicklyI can't comment for Hyundai.
But we didn't have the best experience with BYD.
Car developed a problem same day we took delivery.
After four attempts of unsuccessful repairs where communication was non existent and over five months we managed to get a replacement only after we escalated to the headquarters...
I had a good experience with Tesla. But I am not keen on them anymore for various reasons.
I hope the gamble on IM will worth it.

I wouldn't say "complete lottery", because there are good dealers out there, best to ask around for your area. But the service level is very variable and all dealers are constrained by MG's policies (which are low-cost oriented, not premium). If you get any MG and it works fine then it should be ok, if you need to go to a service centre then it's a complete lottery and your like for MG can change very quickly
Well order has already been placed 2 months ago so a bit late to have a change of heart now, unless I am willing to lose my December delivery.
Order is with MG Chorley. Read good things about them![]()
I think the Ioniq 6 suffers from the same ICCU failures as the Ioniq 5 (and others) so I would stay well clear of it.The IM's worry me in terms of software quality/updates and after sales. My MG4 experience in almost 3 years has been poor to say the least.
I'm torn between the IM5/6, BYD Seal and Ioniq 6. I might leave it down to the best deal and just go with that!
