Just been on a short trip to the local town. Got the following notifications/defects, on the way, not happy.
1. Warning amber triangle and a cup of tea. (5min. into journey)
2. Whilst driving, the red warning "key is not in the car" appeared.
3. Driver's side rear wheel "tyre pressure monitoring system defective". The MG app and screen both show pressure in that tyre as "unknown."
4. Ongoing problem with Android Auto. Stuttering and breakup of sound on music and Google Maps.

Car booked into Thurlow Nunn King's Lynn in mid-February. First availability of a loan car.

The first one is something you can switch off (and most owners do).
Second may be due to a low keyfob battery. Did you try putting the fob in the receptacle?
Third does sound like a defective sensor but that could easily be changed whilst you wait.
Fourth could be down to the phone so I'd check it with a different one first. I've had no such issues with my own phone (Samsung Galaxy S25).

There are so many variables with sorting AA and music stuttering that it's a right royal pain in the armpit to troubleshoot... It's not just an MG problem. It happens across lots of vehicles (EVs and ICEs) and lots of Android phones and lots of different Android/AA/Google Maps/Waze/BT release version combos. What works for one person with one phone make and Android version in one car doesn't work for someone else with ostensibly the same settings in another car, whether that be the same or a different model.

See this Reddit for a taster.

All you can do is isolate each variable and find something that works for you. If a wired connection works, then stick with that. That would be the easiest remedy. Though if it's stuttering on a wired connection my first thought would be it's a connection (socket and/or cable) issue with vibrations of car motion (and braking) causing intermittent failure... but this doesn't quite sound like it's your issue.

The stuttering (on a wireless connection) has to be interference of some kind. Either the BT (which I believe is just used to establish a connection... in this instance) is losing and re-establishing connections or/and there's interference on the wifi (actual music/map data) side, both effectively cause data packet loss for slightly different reasons, and the result is a stutter.

This Google search is a decent starting point.

If the music is more important, utilise the BT music option instead (I appreciate that has inconveniences), as this uses the BT connection to output music (i.e. doesn't use wifi), and use the MG's satnav. If that works that might mean the BT side is not the issue (but not too sure on that statement myself, without reading around the subject more).

OK, you got me, no idea what first and second prize was, the amber triangle with a cup of tea? Any one care to demystify what that means?

He must have yawned. It's a drowsiness alert: time to take a break (or turn off the alert!)

Does the poverty pack MG4 51 have that? Does sound an alert along with the visual warning? I could close my eyes and pretend I'm asleep while the wife is driving in an attempt to keep the heart rate down a bit

I believe so, but perhaps someone in the UK who has an MG4 'poverty pack' will be up 'soon' and give a definitive answer.

It might be a UK thing, your island is so small one could doze off and end up in the sea :)

With Aussies, it might be a tad hard to tell if they are awake or asleep, they can do it with their eyes open, the give away is when the turn over to get more comfortable or start nudging the armrest to see if the wife is awake

@T1 Terry unlike your poverty pack MG4 the MGS5 (which this forum is about) has an inferred sensor on top of the steering binnacle, similar to the first MG4s, which can tell from your eyes if you are paying attention. It can get confused by some spectacles and their coatings and give a drowsiness warning.

Do the notifications still appear after locking and unlocking the car? Sometimes the software has a brain fart and starts up in the wrong sequence causing the various warnings to appear. They usually correct themselves on restarting the car.

The Android Auto might be a problem with your phone. Can you try someone else's of a different make just to rule that out?

As far as I understand it, this forum is about MG vehicles in general, this thread that is on this forum is about the MG5 .... but I understood the barb as it was intended, to get your post count up in practice for next mth ;)
