Hi all in MG world. When I bought my 2021 MG5 I took out the 10,000 mile per year MG service plan. Took the car for its first service today at my local MG dealer and was told that as I have the 10k service plan I don’t get the extended MG Roadside Assistance for the next 12 months, but is says on the MG website “Following on from your initial year's roadside assistance, when you take your car back to your MG dealer for every subsequent scheduled service, if you choose the option, you will receive a further 12 months’ MG Assistance free.” Can any one help Regards

It's still an official MG sanctioned service so should make no difference.

I would note that from that other thread, I wouldn't hold out too much hope from MG,

"I did contact MG with a full break down as to what happened (pun not intended) They said that MG is a franchise as as such their influence is limited. Though they did say they would contact the dealership to ask them to respond. It seems unlikely they will...But its all a bit of a mute point now."

but I'd still chase it up with MG as the circumstances are a bit different..

In the post, as per the link below, @sgt4hed states

"I am paying 6.54 a month for the 3 year service plan with my dealer (Baylis MG Gloucester)"
"And that works out at 78 pounds per year, meaning I get a decent inspection every year and AA cover for 12 months, plus my brake fluid and pollen filter changing at year 2."

Although as per the other post stating to "Check your AA cover", it's conceivable that he doesn't have the cover he thinks he does.

From previous posts where people have spoken to AA, once registered you're actually covered for something like 5 years anyway.
