hi All
new here, as the title says, currently an audi q4 sportback driver due for renewal in April.
test drove the im6 two weeks ago after deciding to discount some other suvs:
cupra tavascan (im6 has better range and near in price to q4)
skoda enyaq (didn’t like the small screen behind the wheel compared to audi)
renault scenic (felt quite ‘dated’ inside but was a nice drive)
most other electric suvs have ranges over below 300 which just doesn’t feel long enough anymore

whilst i didn’t find the im6 as ‘easy’ to drive as my q4 im hoping it’s because its something new. i tried out the parking function and thought that was great but not sure if too gimicky. the audi spec to compare to what the im6 offers is £10k more and still doesn’t offer alot of the features the im6 has so i feel
pretty comfortable im making the right decision…..

The tavascan is not a particularly efficient car, my mate has one, it looks good and the cabin is nice but not the most efficient, again because it's so big and heavy. It's also an expensive motor.

There hasn't been a lot of real world range/efficiency testing as yet but it's not looking the most efficient but I think people will struggle to find a better equipped car with a 100kwh battery for the same money.
Both the 6 and the 5 are good looking cars and the big battery probably makes up for the poor efficiency which won't be a massive issue if you charge at home most of the time

thanks for your insight. yes was initially looks of the tavascan i liked but haven’t been able to get a test drive of it and for only £5k less than the q4 i priced up i would go for another q4 instead.
i only do 8k miles a year and mostly local trips so anything with a claimed range of over 350 miles will do for me i think. only charged publicly for the first time in three and a half years and the price per kwh caught me out! cheaper to use fuel cars if having to charge on motorways all the time.

Yeah some motorway charging is extortionate to be fair the same with motorway petrol, best to look for open to all Tesla chargers for longer trips as they tend to be a fair bit cheaper
