Over revving

Thinking about getting a HS hybrid+,
My worry is does it over rev as the ZS hybrid+ does?
My son has the ZS and it over rev's to 4000 - 5000rpm on hills, this ruins a good car and MG only reply to complaints with it's a characteristic

My wife has the ZS Hybrid+, I have the Gen II HS PHEV. The HS does not over rev like the ZS, the cabin insulation is so good you can barely hear the engine at any revs. The HS in sport mode, if you mash the pedal to the floor, what the engine is doing is the last thing on your mind as the front wheels fight for traction and you experience warp speed. The ZS is brisk (if disconcertingly frantic), the HS is a weapon.

Mines doesn’t over rev but I do feel 1.4 revs at tick over even when at operating temp is a tad high . I know it’s charging the battery but still seems a tad high

The hs really is quick off the mark
