Quick one for anyone else who runs into this.
My MG4 Urban kept setting the alarm off about 10 seconds after locking using the door handle button. Every time I locked it, as I walked away, an alarm would go off. No one inside the car, doors shut properly, no obvious reason.
Turned out it was my dog's water bowl on the back seat. The tiny ripples in the water were enough to trigger the child presence detection system. Took the bowl out and the car has been totally quiet since.
