I had a front right tyre pressure warning this morning taking the grandson to school. Down to 8.2 psi!!!. I inflated it to 37 psi and drove home. This afternoon the pressure was still up at 37 but when I got back home from school it had dropped by 1.5 psi.
I obviously have a slow puncture of some sort. My question is.... if I re-inflate the tyre with the repair fluid is that considered to be a permanent repair or just a temporary get you home measure?

Tyre repair fluid is temporary. As it is holding some pressure then, IMHO, would be better to take it to a tyre centre for a repair. I've heard rumours that using the repair fluid can stop some places from repairing punctures - maybe others on here know whether that's true or not?

Thanks both, that's what I thought. I don't know how much the fluid costs to replace, but I reckon I can get to the tyre centre tomorrow without using it 👍

Those tyre repair kits are only really for emergencies, just get to your local Tyre Service place as soon as you can for a proper repair.
... wish I'd thought of that ;)

Oh no.. just spotted your new signature. I'd assumed the new MG was for the missus, not replacing the XPower. Have you broke the news to @salty?

YW. Fingers crossed it is repairable - IME they usually are unless the puncture is too close to the sidewall 🤞

DO NOT BUY it from a main dealer. I bought 2 huge pots from EBay for a fraction of the price. My Mitsubishi and my MX5 had it so I replaced the Mitzy one as I had used it and the MX5 was about 10ish years old and it has a shelf life. Make sure you have a Schrader valve key to remove the valve with. Thats how you put the sealant into the tyre.

Yes the X-Power has gone, I went for range over power this time, and I think Salty has forgiven me. 😁
