rear camera

Hello

Just purchaesd a 71 plate MG5 estate basic model before facelift. I have noticed the rear parking camera is pretty dire performance at night. Ie very grainy picture on screen, no night vision lighting to assist, i am relying on any avaiable light nearby to actually see anything otherwise no point trying to use it.

Just wondering if an aftermarket camera from ebay etc is suitable the MG display. i understang may need not be same plug socket connection but could work round it by plicing wires

You might be better and easier to fit a second/stronger reversing light?

Following on from what @5teep wrote, does your reversing light work, at all?

On my pre-facelift 22 plate Exclusive the reversing light illuminates the night-time image for the camera pretty well, certainly rather better than my previous MG6!
