On the MGS5 we have the rear collision warning that will flash the hazard lights if it detects someone closing fast from behind.
Well, on friday i was driving out in the woods and it was dark enough around the car that i was made aware of the hazard lights flashing seemingly at random.
At first i thought it was when i was braking for turns etc, but after a while it seemed that this was not the case, maybe only when letting go of the accelerator but im not sure..
The car was in snow mode which gives minimal regen (-5) on letting go of the accelerator. It is covered in ice and snow on the back. I had to disable the warning while driving as i had another car coming up behind and he was visibly confused by all the flashing (i saw him dropping way behind me after a few flashes, probably thinking i was some lunatic flashing my hazardlights on him for some reason)..
Curious if someone else here has experienced this either with snow or mud on the back of the car? My thoughts are that the layer of ice/snow is messing with the sensors and im wondering which sensors are used for this feature and where they are located.. If anyone have a clue let me know!
Oh, and my boot has been refusing to open by the foot sensor since the snow came as well.. Works fine with the button for now tho. Might be related?
