Rear view camera winge

Please please please stop cutting corners on unprotected rear view cameras. I’d happily pay the extra for a shutter or any other automated way of cleaning the lens rather than getting out the car in the dark and poring rain to wipe a finger over the filthy lens. My Merc had it so come on MG.

However the flap on my dads a class stopped popping down. Cost a pretty penny to fix. I think a washer nozzle would be simpler? But I completely agree. It is a right pain in the nuts when you try to reverse but the camera is filthy.
Shows how spoilt I have become with reversing cameras and parking sensor….

would be nice to have a little washer jet, though if mine is dirty I just look out of the window and use the mirrors, too lazy to get out and wipe the camera!!
