Hello,

I've already got an old pod point that im going to swap out.
I already have a 100 amp fuse and 6mm cable so everything is good apart from the I don't have a CT cable.
Rather than rip everything out and put a cable with a CT cable inside im thinking of just adding a CT .
Do you have any recommendations? distance is about 8 meters.

Regards,

Warren.

Do you have any recommendations?
Yes :) Assuming you are referring to needing a two-core cable to connect a current clamp (as opposed to a data link for a remote energy meter)... the best choice would be to use twin screened microphone cable. This will have the necessary shielding to protect from interference as well as twisted cores. Alternatively, screened CAT5/6 cable would suffice over that distance. FWIW I have successfully tested a CT clamp (for solar inverter) over about 50m of external grade, screened, CAT5e cable in the past.
