Hi,

Just a community query on those who have the Trophy.

For me regen settings reset every time I get in the car which isn’t the same as MG4.

MG UK have ‘internally confirmed’ the trophy should be able to remember your regen settings. My sales guy says it resets on his car so I am looking for consensus before reporting it as a common bug to MG UK.

Yes its slightly annoying that it resets every time. I’ve set up one of the * buttons to make it easier to change but it’s still a pain to have to scroll through all the options.

Mine defaults to regen 1 always, but that is ok because i want the lowest setting

My MG4 Trophy always resets to 3 (I drive on 1 so have a * assigned) each time... So was hoping the MGS5 that is on order fixed that.

I'd get them to confirm in writing that the regen level can be stored. My older MG5 resets to default every time you turn it on.

Hi All, Just picked up the car last week, changed from a ZS LR. Just wondering if you still have issues with the Regen levels not being remembered or changing when you cycle through drive modes? I noticed that mine defaults to Normal with regen 1. I've setup Custom drive mode with OPD in ECO. or sometimes I like to use Normal mode with Regen 3. If I go from Normal to Sport Regen stays at 3, but as soon as I goto Comfort mode the regen changes to 1, even if I am just cycling through the menu using the start button. Its getting annoying!
Is there a way to save the settings for each drive mode like a profile so I can have each mode the way I want them or does it need an update or something?

I hope they make an update to fix this. Not remembering settings such as drive mode or regen is such annoyance.
I have to "manually restore" my drive + regen setup, even in small stops.
Additionaly, maybe allow it to be saved to MG pilot button, or have a driver profile.

Mine is exactly the same ( I picked up last week) I always prefer to use regen 3 but haven't found a way to save the settings . I suspect a software update is required and will be reporting to my dealer along with the fact that my radio seems to jump from DAB to FM at a whim and the phone reception is pretty bad

Going back to the mg4 forum there was a number of members complaining about the corrosion of brake discs at quite low mileage leading to quotes of anything approaching £800. Maybe MG solution to this problem is regen 1 to make more to use the brake system more to keep brakes corrosion free. You would have to create an awful amount of regen to pay for new discs and pads prematurely.

But OPD does not force adaptive?
I had a test run with the S5 2 weeks ago It did with Luxury. But it may be different in EU versions?
Btw, did not manage to save the preferred settings in MG Pilot. Salesman didn't know why it failed ..
