Removable batteries such a useful feature on an EV

How long before battery tech will get so advanced that batteries become small and light enough to put in your bag?

Not quite the first with removeable (Nio), but maybe the first that you can take indoors for charging and other uses.

It would be so useful if a proper EV had batteries light and small enough to take out to charge by hand and replace with fully charged ones?

I would charge at work and keep swapping them round

Yeah but can you imagine the nightmare of people wanting to borrow a battery because theirs was flat, etc... it puts phone-charger-borrowing into perspective.

I would like to have one battery on charge all the time, and just swap for the empty one in the car every day
