It's a lovely day today here in Yorkshire, so I decided it was a day for painting the rusty brake discs.
1. Mark round the wheel before removing, you don't want to paint inside the line where the wheel mounts.
2. Remove wheel and caliper cover.
3. Rub down the area to be painted with emery tape, brush the dust off and clean with white spirit.
4. Paint the necessary area of the disc with smooth black hammerite.
5. Wash and polish the wheel and caliper cover.
6. Replace the caliper cover and wheel, remembering to tighten the wheel bolts to 120/130nm.
I also lightly painted the wheel weights to disguise them a bit.
