SAIC/MG begins cooperation with the Russians.

I fully support the Ukraine defence against the Russian invasion and look forward to the eventual Russia economic collapse ..... if China is no longer buying Russian oil yet China is draining their funds to buy Chinese cars ..... that no doubt will be supported at around the same level as the UK MG supports its customers, I can't see this being a losing thing, but I do understand the frustration any flip in MG's attitude regarding selling to the Russians ..... but it is not financially supporting the Russians ...... I trust the Ukraine no longer buys anything from the USA after their Commander and chief decided to sell them out to the Russians ..... at the moment, until that crazy is locked up, anything marked "Made in the USA" is firmly in the "Do not Buy" category

Thank you for your support of us.
MG is one of good selling official dealer in Ukraine (mostly because of our local dealers that works well). But I believe this news may change that success to being ignored by buyers, and I think SAIC knew this when it made its decision.

It is slightly ironic that people won't buy a Tesla because of Musk but happily buy Chinese cars, especially SAIC that are state owned.
With everything China is up to including this now.
Agreed on this but should apply to everyone.
If you dig deep down we shouldn't be buying anything from any company.
I can't think of a single big company that has clear background. Everybody has skeletons in the closet.
Should we talk about VW? Porsche and their lovely Tigers?
'comfort' houses operating next to Toyota, Nissan and Mitsubishi factories? And it goes on and on and on...

Keep up the good fight, you are all heroes in the eyes of most of the people of the world, the others don't really matter much, so don't trouble yourself you didn't get all of them to support you.
Everyone deserves to live in peace in their own country and no one has the right to try and take away that freedom for some ideological and idiotic reason......

Agree but there are massive differences between unscrupulous, dangerous business practices and being made a threat to national security, invading other countries waters with their pirate fishing fleets, constant threats and posturing to Taiwan and now Japan as well as their treatment of minorities in their own country, now an open Collab with the Ruskies all of which the Chinese government have undertaken who obviously own SAIC

I would say that is all on another level and for the most part is just brushed under the carpet (as the everything is made there excuse is rolled out) or people already own Chinese products so can't shout about them.

But the virtue signallers all form a queue to have a pop at Musk and shout for a boycott of Tesla products and apart from act like an arse and back up the tango Mussolini he hasn't even come close to scratching the surface of Chinese indiscretions

Is there a difference though between any Chinese company doing business with the ruskies and Mr Musk essentially electing Trump who is selling out Ukraine and all Europe in favour of his mate Putin?

No not really but there is a huge difference with the Chinese sanctioning the invasion of territorial waters with their fishing fleets, posturing to Taiwan and Japan and the international espionage they are engaged in by being a major state threat to our national security.
And the Chinese company is the government, they own it.

I agree with nothing trump has done and his policies regards Ukraine are disgusting but Europe needs to step up and take responsibility for our own defence, we have relied far too long on the prospect of America coming to all our rescues should we require it.
Countries have dodged spending on defence knowing the American bases in Europe, as well as ours are there.

Politics is not that far removed from infant school play ground bullying but on a larger scale and without a teacher/parent influence. Alliances are formed and broken when apparent better options are presented , and until the bully and their cronies are given a bloody nose by either an individual or an ad hoc gang of pissed off lads who have a fledging conscience of fair play , which in essence rarely happens, RE: Farage/Trump! and missed opportunities, then these self entitled little Hitlers will gain an unfounded confidence to continue their ways into adulthood unaffected by verbal criticism.
Hiding in the corner of the playground hoping you would not be noticed whilst some other poor child was victimised or tying to appease the bully and be part of the "in" crowd and climbing up the pecking order of that clique, again in order to avoid punishment only work for a limited time.
Eventually , its required that a flag is hoisted up the mast , either individually or by political leaders to say enough is enough and our position will be backed up with a clenched fist, and expect that " allies " with signed agreements do not get their lawyers to minutely scrutinise every word , comma, phrase to get themselves a get out of jail free card.

I think the problem was that when Putin declared he was going to start this (he did not call it a war), he looked into the camera and basically told Europe not to get in his way.

And we all stood aside and let him.

Now I'm not saying we should have started pushing red buttons, but surely we could have done something other than just watch?

Ukraine is a beautiful country and has beautiful people and they don't deserve any of this.

Moskvich declared the price of M70 (MG HS). :(
It means SAIC didn't stop cooperation with russians :(

Pro- russian regimes will trade with them . Many " neutral " countries who see an opportunity to make profit will forgo any moral reservations to trade at advantageous rates , that might include massive countries such as China, India , even the EU to some respect. The USA is not immune from profiteering from others misfortune indeed actively seeking to do so.
Like many before and some yet to come , this is one man's dream and conflict , how and why so many follow that vision and that of others is the mystery.
Here in France the public are behind you and I give a salute to the Ukrainian pilots training in the skies over my head.

And my full support behind your countries efforts to keep Putin and his version of Russia out.
Keep up the drone attacks, Putin clearly doesn't have the drone defence capabilities the major military powers have, so keep draining their economy until the Russian's themselves stop his insane war ........

Ukrainian armed forces are leading the way in modern warfare with their innovation and ingenious use of drones.
UK armed forces are also learning from the troops they are training, as the UK haven't seen any action since Afganistan, and things have moved on a pace since then.

Good luck to the Ukranian people.

You can keep up to date on Ukranian progress on the YouTube channel, "The Military Show".

Just yesterday the US state department warned Ukraine via their ambassador "not to attack Russian installations or businesses where it will cause financial loss to American companies"

This was after UA blew up a node on the Drugba oil pipe line (in Russia) that the Chevron company has shares in.

Trump is in a difficult position, on one side he has his rich US controllers sponsors donors and on the other side he has very powerful people he owns a lot of money and even more favours to in Russia, and a country that won't simply buckle and bend the knee ....
He now has to choose between his US money supporters and his Russian financial problem, or trying to look like he is assisting in the Ukraine war effort .....

If he wants to save his US money investors from losing a lot more, maybe he should start supporting Ukraine in their war effort by stopping his support of Russia ..... but then, those Russian financial interests don't take kindly to their investments turning on them ..... poisoned door knobs and cups of tea might give way to people who really are trying to kill him at the next assassination attempt ....

With all due respect but, Trump sees the main threat to his donor group in the EU. He hates the EU and the UK and is taking steps to hinder the EU's economic success.
Trump hates anyone who stands up to him, after Carney gave him a verbal black eye in Europe and they all got up and clapped ..... I quite expected his reply speech to be something like
"I hate all of you and you'll be sorry for applauding that terrible speaker from the 51st state, he has blown his chance of being the governor after that poorly thought out pack of facts speech"
