Where am I going wrong here, why is my satnav using the night colour during the day?

Might have solved my own problem. Dark and light theme in settings. This really is rubbish.

Check out the instructions manual, there might be something there... from memory there was a video on YouTube someone reviewing the car and showing different views options for satnav...

I'm used to Google maps so likely to stick to that as live traffic should be updated almost instantly... Not sure about live updates on S6 satnav...

My old HS satnav which is more or less the same as this iGO system, the day and night colour is based on the car headlights. Headlights off is day colour and headlights on is night colour.

This satnav does appear to rely on live updates whereas the one in the HS was a downloaded database.

I normally use Apple CarPlay but currently having issues with the latest iOS which is affecting CarPlay connectivity.

So is not my infotainment+iphone17 giving trouble. Suffering of pairing issues since IOS 26.4 update ad well

It’s a known issue if you search online. Just waiting for iOS 26.4.1 update now hopefully will sort it. Mine is a 17 Pro.
