Sorry if this has been answered elsewhere, I couldnt find anything from searching.

Scheduled battery heating in the ismart app, am i setting the time to start heating or to start driving

I have a long journey and its sub 5°c so could use any extra range i can get. Its unclear if im setting my journey start time or the start time for the heating. Eg if my journeys at 10 do i tell the app the start time of 10 or 9 to allow and hour of heating?

Thanks

Preheating the traction battery on the move can be an advantage, prior to taking on a charge from a rapid charger, as preheating the battery in cold weather, should allow the best charging rates, if you are in a hurry to get going again.
But just remember you will be reducing your remaining range, if you do use the battery heater.
If your car is still connected to your wall box and you request battery heating, it should energise the wall box, to help back fill the energy you are using to heat the battery, if your not connected to the wall box, you will therefore be pulling energy straight from the traction battery as a result, which kind of defeats the object really I think ?.
I don't actually think you will gain a lot of extra range by preheating the battery at home tbh.
