Short honking sound warning

Posting this to see if anyone came across it. Last night got into my ZS, started driving and after 30 seconds or so, heard a faint, very short honk, less than half a second, almost a beep ... My passenger thought it was the car behind us ... about 30 seconds later, again the same honk! I know the sound of my car horn and I was convinced it was my ZS but there were no any warning lights on the dashboard at all and the car status was "good". After 30 seconds or so, again and again ... Decided to stop as I had a feeling one of the doors/boot was not closed properly although no warning was on the dashboard. Opened and slammed all doors and the boot shut and that was the end of it. Wouldn't be funny if my car honks in heavy traffic and everyone around thinks I'm doing it ...

This never happened before although on occasion I get the same very short honk when I park the car and open the door to get out ... couldn't figure out what makes it happen ... suspect it's the boot not being closed fully but again, no warning lights on the dashboard ...

Does your passenger have a GSOH and an in pocket honking device???

I've found that if the boot isn't fully closed, there is no warning but cruise control wont engage.

The only honking I've encountered is when you've locked the car and a door is open and the car beeps but when you shut the door it locks as normal.

I've had this, although not on the move. There is a button on the remote for the boot, which, in my case, just seems to unlock the boot, but not actually open it. With the key in your pocket it is relatively easy to press it without realising.
