How many panels does the neighbour have now, and has he had the sense to get a battery?

Admittedly its a detached bungalow so no real scaffolding costs but my friend last August had 15 panels, a 5kW AC inverter and a 9kWh Sunsynk battery fitted.. total cost £8600. Local electrician, MCS registered.
With the price of pv panels so cheap I would definitely recommend fitting as many as you can fit on. You won't regret it.

He had new panels and a battery but kept the inverter I believe.

I try to be polite but he kind of ignores us.
