Speed recognition

How do i turn OFF the traffic (speed) Sign recognition?
it is so often wrong.
it misses some signs
it doesn't recognise "20" as a speed limit
all in all i find it an inaccurate distraction

You can't turn it off unfortunately and yes it doesn't recognise 20mph. I think the recognition system is programed with images to match from and obviously there's no 20mph.
A long press of the OK button will clear any on screen messages and symbols until you pass the next sign.

Yes you can turn it off but you have to turn it off every time you start.

It does become second nature... holding down that button until the roundel disappears...

Indeed - but I have to press it twice to turn off (for some odd reason) and the highest speed indicator possible shows as 70 instead of 120 kph (Car set to Kilometers)

Often! A road nearby confuses the car quite often... leaving M'way services often raises the alarm...

I've just had my MG5 FL serviced and the software update was to rectify this issue, it didn't work and to be honest its worse than it was.
Previously it didn't recognise 20mph, it still doesn't but now it displays the other speed signs as before but now regularly forgets and I end up with the 2 little lines in the speed roundel.
