Spiders! 😱🤪

Just caught this in the Kitchen!
Don't like to kill spiders. But no way, could I leave that roaming about. I'll put it outside. Tell you what though, it nearly got the better of me.

Probably harmless, but the thought of it crawling over your head in bed ain't nice.

Don’t worry about them crawling over you as they do it all the time and you’d never know. Probably a hundred or so every night…

What’s more of a problem is the smaller ones that go up your nose or in your ears.

That is a house spider. They have evolved to live in our homes ever since humans have started to live in buildings. Unfortunately that means they can't survive in the wild as it's usually too cold for them so be kind and put it in your shed or garage.

To late, it's outside. But it's gonna be very warm this week. 🕷

We'd call it a daddy long legs, very prolific here. most of the time we just ignore them, they help to keep the mozies down,
Ross River virus and dengue fever are all carried by them.

Small body, very thin legs. But for us, that was a big un.

I don't mind a spider, even the big ones, I wasn't too keen on the ants I had under my back door step a couple of years ago though.

Yep, so they are. But we do have a Spider,
with a pea size body and long thin legs.
They ain't as creepy as the one in the Glass, though.

Some people call the spider a daddy long legs, that @salty is referring to, I'm like @Willie and call a crane fly a daddy long legs. We used to have loads of them..I've not seen as many recently.
However like @salty I catch then under a glass, my grandad had no issues catching them by hand. I can always remember the legs wiggling about between his fingers

Little tale about that. I used to drive a ride on mower, at work. And left my ear defenders on the steering wheel, overnight until the next day. During the morning, felt something moving in my ear. Yep you've guessed it, an earwig. Along with wasps, they are the two that Bug me the most. They just give me the creeps.
Needless to say I used to check my ear defenders every morning, after that.

I haven't either although last year after giving the car a good wash and using Meguiars Ultimate Liquid Wax when I came to drive my car in the evening the crane flies were mating above my car and trying to lay their eggs on the roof. They must have thought the very shiny black roof was a pond.

The "Daddy Longlegs" without the wings are Harvestman spiders. Not a true arachnid as it doesn't have a differentiated head, thorax and abdomen, nor does it have spinnerets to make silk.

Wouldn’t wanna be one then. I’m so used to the differential in my head to help me round the twists in life.

Its either a very large house spider or a very small Baby Cham glass?

Definitely would never kill a Spider. But the size of that one in the Glass, has got to be evicted. And they don't try to hide, can't miss um, against, the White walls.

Still could be a LOT worse, imagine seeing this one on ya wall.
