Hi brains trust,
Based in Australia.
I purchased my MGS5 back in August this year and noticed a squeaky component in October in the engine bay. Identified it as bearings in the radiator cooling fan. My MG service centre got the car in and replaced it within three weeks under warranty. There was a hiccup though: the first replacement part did exactly the same thing in the service centre, so they had to order and install another. I took the car home and unfortunately the issue seems to be plaguing this one as well. I called them just before Christmas to ask for advice and they said to contact MG before they do anything else. I'm not sure what that will accomplish.
Something I considered is that maybe the shroud is over torqued and is possibly misaligned, but I don't currently have the capacity to test that theory (I've also moved to a new area and finding a good mechanic has been hard).
Any advice about a squeaky cooling fan that's been replaced twice? hoping to avoid taking it back to the MG service centre again without some ideas (the replacement process take three days so not keen to relive that experience).
