I'm curious @Archev as 'alcohol' is a carrier of flavour or taste of the things it is mixed with. Pure ethanol of course does have a taste, but at 4 or 5 percent or thereabouts, say in beer taste is more about, the barley and hops. An alcopop tastes of nothing other than the pop and wines all have different tastes.

OK I was using the word as a generic description of all the various drinks which contain it. I’m just not keen on wines, beers etc any more. I’ve never imbibed nor enjoyed them all that much so a few years ago I just cut it to near zero. I still have a couple of bottles of malts I received when I turned fifty (26 years ago)
My work was servicing and repairing electric showers / water heaters and boilers all over the country. I just enjoyed, and still enjoy, driving so I developed a personal zero tolerance attitude to drinking.
