Tailgate MG S5 does not lock and does not open to the fully raised option. Suggestions?

Since yesterday the tailgate from my 4 weeks old MG S5 EV doesn't close in the lock. It goes down but in the display it shows as open. Also when opening it will not go to full open. I called MG. They are looking for solutions. Still no reaction. Anyone?

Welcome to the forum.

As has been mentioned elsewhere, unlock the car, open the tailgate then force it open manually to its maximum, press and hold the close button on the tailgate for 3 seconds until it beeps.

I now this procedure, but my tailgate won't klick into the lock again when closing. In the display inside there is also visible that te tailgate isn't closed. I can ride the car (luckily). Have an appointment on 31th march. Hope they have the solution.
