Interesting. I wonder if it might be due to our winter roads getting covered in salt, while perhaps they don't have that habit in Australia? Japan also uses only very small amounts of salt. Just a thought! Chris

As always the devil will be in the detail. All I have to do is 500,000km in the next 6 years and 1 month & I'll be well ahead of the new warranty. At my present rate I'll be at about 105,000 km by the time the car is 7 years old.

Is this coming to the UK?

Not that I've heard of.

The warranty in the local market will be down to the local distributor - i.e. MG UK - and presumably will be a financial arrangement between them and SAIC (someone has to pay the costs of any claims).

It would be great if they did, would tackle some of the concerns about issues with MG EVs and the difficultly getting them addressed by a competent dealer.

I'm not holding my breath either, I'm more concerned that in the next four years (PCP) that the service costs don't cripple us and if we have any problems they will fix them FOC.

The two faults ours has been in for were not fixed *** how hard can it be these days to make a car that does not have stupid faults.
