Test Drive or not!

I think that is correct. However, I am content to wait as I want to see more info about real range before I commit. I have a year before I need to change cars.
EV Database UK who are always pretty accurate are showing the IM6 long range real world range as 315 miles average.
270 winter, 360 summer.

Real Range Estimation
between 230 - 455 mi
City - Cold Weather *310 mi
Highway - Cold Weather *230 mi
Combined - Cold Weather *270 mi

City - Mild Weather *455 mi
Highway - Mild Weather *295 mi
Combined - Mild Weather *360

Thanks. I will wait for some owners personal figures. Never found the EV database very accurate for my own cars. However, I rarely use that site as I do not trust them owing to the extremely long winded process to block all of their cookies!

I have just noticed a video on YouTube which compares the Tesla Model Y Long Range RWD, The BYD Sealion7 Comfort (RWD) and the MG IM6 Long Range.
It is from WhatCar; you may want to watch it.
They drove from London to Cornwall and back. Apparently they got the following real ranges:

MG IM6 Long Range: 299 miles
Tesla Model Y Long Range RWD: 273 miles
BYD Sealion7 Comfort: 249 miles.

I was supposed to be having a test drive this afternoon at Lookers in Brighton. Unfortunately, they have just called to say the car was not available to drive as they had not completed the PDI! Not sure how long the PDI would take, but given they got the car last week and were offering test drives from fri or sat it seems a strange excuse. Intend to go along for a close up look in any case and to see if the golf gear fits. Not a great introduction to this dealer.
I'm guessing it's just a capacity issue, it's the start of a new registration period and I'm guessing customer orders come first. Try Richmond in Bognor Regis or Portsmouth. I've always found them accommodating.

Had the test drive now and Lookers in Brighton have been very good. Would not consider driving as far as Bognor or Portsmouth for a dealer!

My 1st impression of both I'm5 and 6 were very favourable, but now I'm thinking they are both very Tesla lookalikes. What I've always loved about our beloved MG4 is it's unique style, I'm also concerned these new cars are so much bigger, but worse is the crazy idea of having the drive controls on the R/H stalk, don't think I could cope with losing that for wiper control ect - why would you do that? Would it not be possible to go for your flick wipe and knock the thing out of drive, or worse under braking into reverse!! So pointless moving away from the current rotary knob system. Lastly, why no air suspension option for I'm5 which after all is the sportier model.

Confused! Drive controls are on the rh stalk and wiper/washer on the left. What is the problem?
