His time really gives the lie to the idea that having to stop to charge an EV slows a journey considerably. He can't have charged for very long at all. That car must charge very fast, and presumably he was charging at the low end of the SoC range.

We filled up at one gas station outside Las Vegas where there were 98 fuel pumps !!

Glad we paid on the pump - we’d still be there yet if we’d gone inside.
