Trip to the Alps

Elli looks good. Hadn't heard of that. Shame about the 12m subscription though! Need something like that they can be done month by month... Here's to hoping lol

Just to sum up, Danny, did it work? Were you happy with the amount of recharges you had to do? Were there adequate rapid chargers available? Any long waits? Did you have heater/aircon/blower on much?
I don't think I could do that trip in a mk1 like mine - 250 miles to Cornwall is quite enough.

Yep, 12 m subscription is a pain but the trip to France covered the year in price difference. It now makes charging out and about less painful to the wallet (if we can find one in-network)

Yep it worked and we stuck to speed limits rather than try to drive too carefully (130kmph). We travelled overnight and the ~1.5hrs between stops were welcome to not get overly tired. We only had 3 waits in 14 chargers, worst one was in Maidstone for about 40mins. We were in eco, kids sleeping under a duvet and heated seats in the front. It wasn't the coldest night/day to travel, some where between 2-10°c. I think that 800 miles is too much of a stretch for the mk1 or SR ZS, I don't think I would put up with more stops/longer charges.
