UK version is stripped of magnets

Hi All,

Just to let you know. UK version of IM6 seems to come without magnets despite having a logo both on the front seats and in the boot.

I've checked the manual and a brochure and it doesn't mention those in UK either. It seems to be listed in a brochure on the Australian MG's site as "magnetic suction points".

I wonder what else is missing.

Oooo, what are these magnets of which you speak?

MagSafe / Pixelsnap equivalent. For example a magnetic holder for a tablet for your kids that should snap with a magnet to the back of driver's/passenger's seat.

There even is a logo where the magnets should've been...

I wonder if it is a safety thing?
Something protruding from the front seats in case of a frontal collision essentially acting as a spike for whomever sits at the back?
Dunno...

The website mentioned they are accompanying accessories which are yet to be launched. Wouldn't be surprised if it becomes a dealer exclusive supply and fit!

Perhaps MG have researched the state of dentalcare and amount of fillings in children's teeth in the UK and to stop kids heads being magnetically attached to the back of the front seats , have removed them.... Just a theory????

If only Jimmy Bond had had those accessories in the Aston Martin or Lotus he could have won the day a bit quicker.

Once again only the Aussies are trusted with advanced technology such as magnets and sunroofs.

It could be MGUK in their infinite wisdom deciding they are not going to bother with all the accessories.
