MG4 XPower LED:

The bonnet has a tiny gap and I am thinking of using Fibre Optic solution that I have used on my interior panels to give light inside. But the wiring I need to use would be USB.
I dont want to get all technical and want to find a plug and go solution that stays inside the hood.

Has anyone got around this at all.

Thanks

I don't actually understand what you are trying to achieve, by "hood" (USA) do you mean bonnet (English) perhaps?
If you mean you want lighting in the engine area, connecting directly to the battery seems a possible solution, but would need to be switched in some way.

For simplicity and possible necessities, I keep a low cost led headtorch, along with a small (regularly charged) power pack under the driver's seat, that is to hopefully save time getting assistance if the 12v battery fails, which by "sods law" will occur at night 🤔🌃😜 especially when left for weeks in a car park whilst on holiday, many sensible and practical EV owners of all manufacturers make this a priority and in my mind virtually as useful as the tyre repair kit in the boot (not trunk) 😂🤣👍
