Not an MG
For those of you that have had your MG3 Hybrids for a while, is there any sign of underbody corrosion anywhere, either on the body of the car or on things such as the subrframes and suspension components.

The reason I ask is I have seen a few people report they have found corrosion on their MG4 and ZS after a year or two. I then saw this photo of a 4 year old ZS and it really put me off.

Also, whenever I see a rusty MG or Dacia it always seems to be white, is there any truth in the rumour that white paint doesn't protect as well as metallic paint?

I am used to driving old cars and have easily run Renaults past 15 years, so I was hoping this car would easily last that long. If it is going to be a write off before it's tenth birthday due to corrosion then I will buy something else.

Hello @thingsbehindthesun, welcome to MGEVs, don't buy an MG if you want it to last 15 years 😂

Seriously though, that one looks bad, but only time will tell how long the current range of MGs will last, I think they're probably better now than they were 4 or 5 years ago.
I wouldn't worry MG will just say it's a chararistic to rust like that 😁 bloody bad for a 4 year old car though , then again for us oldies that remember when the first Datsuns nissan now first arrived in the UK you just had to breathe on them and they would rust oh the good old days 😉
